This late Roman provincial bronze ring, named 'Frondis', dates to the 3rd–5th century CE and carries a hand-incised herringbone or fern-frond motif across its flat circular bezel. Cast in a single piece with a tapering hoop, it belongs to a well-attested class of utilitarian signet and decorative rings produced in the eastern Roman provinces. The layered patina — tenorite-dark on the bezel, malachite-green and earth-toned across the hoop — speaks to centuries spent in the ground.
